This beautiful lamp is a combination of leather and handmade paper. The front panel of the lamp is made of Leather and is hand painted, the remaining sides are made of handmade paper. The leather itself is processed to give it a translucent appeal which when placed against light enhances colour and expression of the characters/ images painted on it. The base of the lamp is made of wood.

Your lamp is inspired by Tholu Bommala Aata of Andhra Pradesh. Tholu literally means “skin”/ leather and Aata meaning puppetry/play. The lamp incorporates an exquisite painting on leather custom-created for the colour palette of this lamp.
